kore create secret generic#

Creates a generic type secret in kore

Synopsis#

Provides the ability to create generic secrets in the kore, from files, environments files and literals.

kore create secret generic [flags]

Examples#

$ kore create secret generic <name> -t <team> [options]
# Create a secret from a file
$ kore create secret generic gke --from-file=<key>=<filename>

Options#

-d, --description DESC a description for this secret DESC
--dry-run shows the resource but does not apply or create (defaults: false)
--from-env-file PATH builds a secret from the environment file, PATH
--from-file KEY=PATH builds a secret from the key reference KEY=PATH
--from-literal strings adding a literal to the secret `KEY=NAME
-h, --help help for generic
--type TYPE is the type of secret you are creating TYPE (default "generic")

Options inherited from parent commands#

--debug indicates we should use debug / trace logging (defaults: false)
--force is used to force an operation to happen (defaults: false)
--no-wait indicates if we should wait for resources to provision
-o, --output string the output format of the resource (json,yaml,table,template) (default "table")
--profile string allows you to explicitly set the selected profile
--show-headers indicates we should display headers on table out (default true)
-t, --team string the team you are operating within
--verbose enables verbose logging for debugging purposes (defaults: false)
